Rich Essman - Teaching/Admin. Elder
After spending almost 4 years in the snow capped mountains of Northern California, Rich and Katie felt that God was calling them back home to Bakersfield. They have been involved at The Way since before the launch in April of ‘08. God has blessed them with two healthy and rambunctious boys, Rusten and Reed. As a family they enjoy just about anything outdoors as well as a good bowl ice-cream.
The Way Fellowship is the second church plant that Rich has been able to be a part of. His desire is to be used of God to raise young leaders and help them find their God given callings. He loves the challenge of starting new works and new ways to reach the lost while holding true to solid Biblical teaching.
Katie currently serves on the worship team and helps with administration, while Rusten and Reed are very active in the children’s ministry.
